Since 2023 he has interviewed 80-plus guests whose firsthand experience or research challenges the idea that consciousness is produced by, and ends with, the brain. The roster includes near-death experiencers, out-of-body explorers, mediums who channel live on-mic, past-life regressionists, and credentialed researchers publishing on consciousness survival. Episodes run 60 to 90 minutes. Rod's approach is plain: ask what actually happened, ask what changed because of it, and let the listener decide. The show is available as video on YouTube and as audio on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeart, and every major podcast app. Episodes are indexed into six themes; a separate shorts channel carries the highlights. Host bio
Rod Bland is the creator and host of Untethered Consciousness, recording out of Sydney, Australia. He started the show in 2023 after years of private interest in near-death research and decided the conversations he wanted to hear didn't exist yet in long-form. He asks the questions a curious listener would ask, doesn't argue with guests, and doesn't sell a worldview - the goal is to let the experiencer and the skeptic sit in the same room and hear each other out.
